Pharmacodynamics
Proviron eliminates the effect of impaired androgen production that occurs with age. Therefore, Proviron is suitable for the treatment of conditions caused by insufficient production of endogenous androgen. Mesterolone does not affect spermatogenesis. Mesterolone is very well tolerated by the liver. Proviron supports the growth, development and function of androgen-dependent target organs. It contributes to the development of secondary sexual characteristics in androgen deficient adolescents.
Proviron also eliminates the symptoms of deficiency in cases where the gonads stop working after puberty.
Taking Proviron can significantly improve or normalize sperm count and quality and fructose levels in ejaculate, increasing the chances of getting pregnant.
Application properties
Androgens should not be used in healthy individuals to strengthen muscles or increase overall physical fitness.
Proviron should only be used by men.
Regular prostate examinations are recommended to rule out prostate cancer during treatment.
Non-malignant tumors and, in very rare cases, malignant liver tumors, which have sometimes caused life-threatening bleeding, have been reported following the use of hormonal products such as Proviron. In case of severe epigastric pain, enlargement of the liver or signs of intra-abdominal bleeding, the possibility of liver tumor should be considered in the differential diagnosis.
This medicine contains lactose. Patients with rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, the Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take this medicine.
Contains methylparaben and propylparaben. Allergic reactions (probably delayed) may occur.
Contraindications
Prostate cancer (because androgens can stimulate the growth of existing cancer).
Liver tumors, current or past.
Hypersensitivity to the drug or to any of the excipients.
